Have you ever stood in your desert home… and quietly missed the sound of waves?

“Watchers of the Sea” was born from that feeling. I’m an Alaska-born artist who carries the ocean in my bones, and this was my first time weaving that saltwater soul into a true desert landscape—cactus, blooms, and a sky that feels like Arizona at golden hour.

I painted it for people who now live under wide, dry skies… but still dream in tides and horizons. The cacti stand like silent guardians at the edge of an impossible shoreline, holding both lives at once: the place you came from and the place you chose.
